The September 16, 2018 Star Advertiser Insights column provided two views on the Education Funding Constitutional Amendment Ballot; a “Yes” commentary by HSTA’s President Corey Rosenlee, and a “No”commentary by Ray L’Heureux, former Assistant Superintendent of the Department of Education, and Randall Roth, Professor Emeritus of Law at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa. In order to provide a balanced view on the measure, we would like to present both views at the next HE`E Meeting on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.
Along with HSTA’s Government Relations Specialist Mitzie Higa to speak in support, we have also invited former Assistant Superintendent Ray L’Heureux to speak in opposition of the measure. The structure of the meeting will be as follows:
9:00-9:30 Ray L’Heureux
9:30-9:40 Break
9:45-10:15 Mitzie Higa
10:15-10:25 Break
10:30-11:00 HE`E Group Discussion
