HE`E Planning Meeting, Tuesday, August 13, 2019, 9:00-11:00am,  Impact Hub, 1050 Queen St Suite 100, Honolulu, HI 96814
We are pleased to have a presentation on AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) at our next HE`E Planning Meeting. AVID is a nonprofit that changes lives by helping schools shift to a more equitable, student-centered approach to teaching and learning. Nationwide, AVID trains 80,000 educators annually to close the opportunity gap, so we can prepare all students for college, careers, and life. In Hawaii AVID partners with 110 public schools and trains 500+ educators at our Hawaii summer training. AVID also provides complex area and site based professional learning opportunities.

Annette Murray is the AVID Hawaii Program Manager and will be leading the presentation. She lives in Kaneohe with her husband and twins, who attend public school. She has worked in K-12.

Parking is available at neighboring parking lots (Whole Foods and Ward Village Shops parking lots). In addition, Impact Hub HNL parking is located on Kawaiahao behind the main entrance on Queen Street. Parking is available M-F from 6am-8:30pm.
