Act 167
HSTA supported changing language to “student hours” from “student instructional hours.” HE’E also supports this change.
Early Education
HSTA says they support all pre-school opportunities. Spoke about the example at Puuhale School. HSTA thinks the emphasis should be on the 4 year olds first.
Act 51
HSTA feels that there should be a re-look at Act 51. Acknowledges that there has been talk of school empowerment.
