- Early Education
If Junior K is phased out this year, 5500-6000 kids will fall through the cracks. These are kids that are late born.
- Early Learning Office will figure out a way to implement Keiki First Steps for 4 year olds and determine cost
- 12 month delay of phase out of Junior Kindergarten (2013-2014)

There will be a comprehensive look that will probably come out of Judiciary committee not Education committee. Legislature allowing BOE to implement school wide policy. Keiki Caucus working on additional bullying legislation.

Answer: Maybe for the Department of Health but not for DOE. A case needs to be built for Education
- School Lunch – National directive to move school lunch prices to cost. $6mm shortfall. BOE looking at USDOE and USDA
