The state Department of Education’s School Food Services Branch is providing meals at 60 public schools without charge this summer–Monday through Friday (except June 10, 17, 24 and July 4)–to all children 18 years old and younger. (See below for Hawaii’s participating public schools, meals, service times, and contact phone numbers.)
The Seamless Summer Option (http://www.fns.usda.gov/cnd/Seamless_Summer.htm) is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. An eligible school must have 50% or more of its regular enrolled students qualifying for free or reduced-price school meals.
